Turneffe Flats is located 30 miles off shore on Belize on the northern end of Turneffe Atoll. An hour and half boat ride from the mainland, guest travel via Turneffe Flats custom dive boat Ms. Ellie across the Meso-American Reef, through 2000+ feet deep of open ocean, onto Turneffe Atoll, and finally across the Central Lagoon. Once at the resort you'll be struck by the level of sophistication, comfort, and hospitality. The best part, is not having to share the best permit fishing flats in Belize.
Each day you'll meet your guide shortly after breakfast and make short boat rides to the nearby permit flats. Turneffe Flats lodge is the closest accommodations to fabled Central Lagoon permit schools. It is so close, that you may choose to have lunch in the comfort of the air conditioned lodge.
Occasionally, your guide will choose to fish the western side of the atoll or make the journey to the southern flats. On these days you can expect to have the flats completely to yourself, which will make the 45+ minute boat ride worth while.
